monarch lake Moose

Monarch Lake is a must see alpine lake that is located near Granby, Colorado (Winter Park Area). This truly is one of my most favorite places to visit. The water is clear and smooth as glass. You can see the reflection of the snow capped mountains in the water.  It is a very relaxing and tranquil place to visit.  The water is too cold to swim in but you can bring a small boat or paddle board to get out on the water.

The Monarch Lake Loop is a 4 mile loop and you can even hike up to a waterfall.  Moose live in this area and we have spotted them several times.  What majestic animals.  I highly encourage you to make a special trip to visit Monarch Lake.
