Are the Schools Good in Evergreen Colorado?
If you are thinking of moving to Evergreen Colorado and you have children, one of your top questions is going to be “are Evergreen Co schools good?”. I have prepared the most comprehensive info on Evergreen area schools that span both Jefferson County and Clear Creek county so that you can get an in depth feel for what is going on with schools.

Open Enrollment – Jefferson County
Jefferson county schools have open enrollment. What this means is that you don’t have to attend your assigned school as long as their is availability for enrollment at the desired Jefferson County school. It is also my understanding that if you live in the area of Evergreen that is in Clear Creek County then you can enroll in Evergreen / Jefferson County schools. (Note – you must verify this with your school & district)
Evergreen Spans Two Counties and Two School Districts
It’s important to understand that Evergreen spans two counties and three school districts. West Evergreen will bleed into Clear Creek County of which the schools are not ranked as high as Jefferson County schools. It is my understanding that West Evergreen residents can attend Evergreen schools only if there is sufficient room. You would have to verify this for sure by calling the desired Evergreen school you wish your child to attend.
South Evergreen can have your child attending Marshdale Elementary and West Jefferson Middle School and Conifer High School which are both in Conifer. Conifer schools are in Jefferson county and are highly ranked schools as well. My two older children have gone to Conifer High School and we have had an excellent experience. If you live in South Evergreen and desire for your children to go to Evergreen Middle School and Evergreen High School then you can get on the list and gain access as long as there is room.
