Guanella Pass – Aspen Color Explosion

Guanella Pass in the fall is an amazing place to visit. The aspens are turning gold and orange. It is an explosion of color. What a site to see.

Guanella Pass is located in Georgetown, Colorado. It was originally a small mining town but is now a fun place to visit for ice cream and to view some nice art galleries. If you take the road up from Georgetown it will take you to Guanella Pass. It is a two lane road with lots of great mountain views. It’s not uncommon to see big horn sheep. When you arrive at the top of Guanella Pass you can see Mount Bierstat, which is one of Colorado’s 14,000+ foot mountains that you can climb.
