The Evergreen Summer Concert Series is an annual event and fun town staple that displays a unique lineup of talented musicians and bands. It was created to provide free and family-friendly entertainment to the Evergreen community, all while supporting the town’s nonprofit organizations. Rightfully so, the series has increased in popularity over the years and attracts visitors from all over the Denver area. The concerts happen every Wednesday evening at Evergreen Lake House or Buchanan Park. Here’s what you need to know before the series starts up this summer and tickets go on sale.
This Year’s Dates and Location Schedule (Times and Performers TBD)
June 28, 2023– Evergreen Lake Park
June 12, 2023– Buchanan Park Field
July 23, 2023– Evergreen Lake Park
August 9, 2023– Buchanan Park Field
What to Expect
Evergreen Lake Park (Main Location)
Evergreen Lake is a classic venue for the town’s activities. Gaze out at the lake, mountains, and dark green ponderosa pine trees while you kick back and enjoy the live music. You can pack a picnic or buy snacks and meals from one of the food trucks (last year included food from Beau Jo’s, Campfire, Cactus Jack’s Saloon + Grill, and more). The concert bar will provide beer, wine, and signature cocktails with all the tips donated to the Active4All Evergreen Foundation, a non-profit partner of EPRD that strives to improve the parks and recreational opportunities for the Evergreen community. Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed at Evergreen Lake Park. Please do not bring tents or sunshades so everyone can get a great view! All ages are welcome, so bring your family and invite your friends! Pets will need to stay home due to the anticipated crowds.
Buchannan Park (Alternate Location)
Buchanan Park is 41.25 acres with two large ballfields that host other big Evergreen events including the Evergreen Fine Arts Festival and the Big Chili Cook-Off. There’s also a playground nearby if your kids need any extra entertainment. Grab your favorite lawn blanket or chair and get cozy for the music. You can pack a picnic or grab food from one of the food trucks, and at Buchanan Park, you are welcome to bring in your alcoholic beverages, but not do not bring a glass. This is an all-ages, family-friendly event, but please leave your pets at home!
Parking and Transportation
There’s no parking at the Lake House during the Summer Concerts. You can opt for buying a VIP parking pass on June 1, but there is a limited amount of passes and they’ll go by pretty quickly. The VIP parking pass is $100 and is valid for the four summer concerts at both Evergreen Lake House and Buchanan Field. I definitely recommend using the free transportation shuttles that will take you to and from the events. They’ll be running from 3:30–8:30 p.m from:
Christ the King Catholic Church– 4291 Evergreen Pkwy
Stagecoach Fields Lower Parking Lot– S. El Pinal Dr. and Stagecoach Blvd
Wulf Recreation Center– 5300 S. Olive Rd
Pass the White Bucket Campaign
This year the EPRD Summer Concert Series partnered with Moore Lumber and Evergreen Ace Hardware and is launching their “Pass the White Bucket” campaign. There are so many Evergreen non-profits who don’t always get a platform to talk about their organization. Each concert will have a selected non-profit and the opportunity to talk about their organization on stage for a few minutes, have a 10X10 booth area, and will have the opportunity to receive donations as the white bucket is passed around to collect.
