Every year the Downtown Evergreen Merchants host the Annual Halloween Walk. The children get dressed up in all their favorite costumes and ascend upon downtown Evergreen to gather as much candy as they possibly can. It is a great way for the Evergreen community to get together and trick or treat in a fun and safe setting. The Halloween Walk is particularly designed for the young children. Living in the mountains, homes are more spread out and it is harder for young children to go house to house collecting candy. All the merchants generously participate by passing out candy as the children go from business to business. Many of the merchants partake in the fun and get dressed up in their favorite costume and they even decorate their stores to add to the excitement. Come on down to Downtown Evergreen and join in all the fun.
